Reclaiming Our

Heart’s Desires

A Path to Recovering from Purity Culture, Religious Trauma, and Sexual Shame

A half-day retreat focused on healing from the toxic narratives, beliefs, and experiences of purity culture and sexual shame.

This retreat offers a healing space to explore, acknowledge, and begin to release these traumatic, toxic beliefs and experiences.

We will use a combination of cognitive, emotional, and somatic practices designed to foster exploration, compassionate healing, and release within a safe container.

This is retreat if for you...

If you grew up in a Western society, most likely you received some fear-based and shame-based messages about sex in general, gender roles, and sexual expression. For those raised in highly controlling religious systems, these messages were even more extreme.

With gentle reverence, we will highlight the ways in which purity culture and sexual shaming impacts our relationship to ourselves, our bodies, our partners; to pleasure and sensuality; to our desires; to our ability to trust our inner wisdom and to our erotic truth.

Together we will co-create a gentle, healing space to explore:

  • The origins of purity culture and sexual shame.

  • The impact of this on our physical, emotional, sexual, relational and spiritual selves.

  • Ways to reclaim the heart’s desires.

  • How to discover or re-discover what it means to live a life of sensual, sexual, erotic, and sacred liberation.

This retreat is for you if you have ever desired to:

  • Create a safe, embodied, sovereign connection to yourself.

  • Cultivate a positive relationship to pleasure and sensuality.

  • Create positive, satisfying, relaxing, and shame-free/ pain-free sexual experiences.

  • Explore your sexual desire from a sex-positive, unconditionally accepting lens.

  • Trust your inner wisdom.

  • Release the shame, guilt, pain and trauma held in your thoughts, emotions, and body.
